Swiss luxury group Richemont has announced the full acquisition of Italian high jewelry house Vhernier, expanding its portfolio in the exclusive jewelry segment.

On May 7 (local time), Swiss luxury goods conglomerate Richemont announced the private acquisition of 100% of Italian high jewelry maison Vhernier S.p.A.
Vhernier was founded in Valenza, Italy, in 1984. The company was acquired by the Traglio family in 2001 and is now headquartered in Milan.

Vhernier’s jewelry designs draw inspiration from the curves of the human body and the essential forms of modern sculpture, creating bold sculptural and ergonomic shapes. It distinguishes itself from the high jewelry maisons currently owned by Richemont, such as Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, through its unique combination of traditional precious metals and gemstones with unconventional materials like titanium, bronze, and ebony.
All jewelry is meticulously handcrafted in Valenza, renowned as a city of exceptional jewelry manufacturing, guaranteeing the highest level of craftsmanship and quality. Its primary sales channels are boutiques and premier select shops in Europe and America that handle luxury goods and brands.

Vhernier also operates the home decoration brand “De Vecchi Milano 1935,” which focuses on traditional Italian silverware, alongside its jewelry business.
Johann Rupert, Chairman of Richemont, commented in a statement.

Added Carlo Traglio, Chairman, and Maurizio Traglio, CEO of Vhernier.
