Seven-Day Civil Defense Training Program Launched

A seven-day Civil Defense Community Building training program has been launched at the Ratna Institute in Sector-78, Mohali. The training program will run until February 10th. The program, led by Deputy Commissioner Mohali-cum-Controller Civil Defense Mohali Komal Mittal, was inaugurated by Additional Controller Civil Defense Mohali-cum-District Commander Punjab Home Guards Rupnagar Gurinder Pal. A total of 360 general citizens, including students from Ratna Institute, participated in this training program.

Training Curriculum and Eligibility

During this seven-day training, participants will receive basic Civil Defense training. This includes essential information on first-aid, search and rescue, firefighting, and dealing with natural and man-made disasters.

“Any ordinary citizen can receive this Civil Defense training. For this, the candidate must be over 18 years of age, and two photographs and an Aadhaar card are mandatory at the time of application,” said Gurinder Pal.

During the program, Ratna Institute Chairman Sundar Lal, Mohali Civil Defense In-charge Inspector Narayan Sharma, Inspector Sudarshan Singh Atwal, Havaldar/Instructor Vijay Kumar, Havaldar/Instructor Prem Narayan, and other staff members were also present.
