Singaporean Jewelry Designer Lynn Ban Passes Away Following Skiing Accident

Singapore’s renowned jewelry designer, Lynn Ban (Wan Aiping), passed away on January 20, 2025, at the age of 51, due to a brain hemorrhage following a skiing accident. Ban, who appeared on the Netflix reality show “Bling Empire: New York,” rose to fame in the jewelry world with her unique design style, becoming a favorite of international superstars such as Madonna and Beyoncé.

Ski Accident in Aspen

According to a message posted on social media by her son, Sebastian, the accident occurred in December 2024 while Ban was on vacation in Aspen. She fell while skiing, landing face-first. Fortunately, she was wearing a helmet and was able to ski down the slope on her own. Although initial checks showed no signs of a concussion, Ban decided to go to the hospital for further examination, where she was diagnosed with a brain hemorrhage and immediately underwent emergency craniotomy surgery.

“She shared the accident on social media, stating that after the surgery, her husband, Jett, was by her side, encouraging her to share her recovery journey with her fans.”

Her son Sebastian, in remembering his mother, said that Ban was not only his best friend but also the strongest mother. Despite the difficulties during her recovery, she always maintained an optimistic and resilient attitude, deeply loved and respected by her family and friends.
