Editor’s Note

Bvlgari’s Polychroma collection showcases an extraordinary commitment to artistry, with 250 designs realized from 600 initial sketches. The series features a record-breaking 60 exclusive “million-dollar” pieces, celebrating the vibrant colors and brilliance of gemstones.

A Celebration of Color and Craftsmanship

Bvlgari’s Polychroma collection is an ode to the rich colors, multidimensional characteristics, and dazzling brilliance of gemstones. Its conception involved 600 sketches, 250 of which have been brought to life. Sixty pieces within the Polychroma collection are hailed as exclusive “million-dollar” treasures, setting a record for the number of pieces at this price point and caliber.

“Polychroma redefines the boundaries of excellence in craftsmanship, gemology, and goldsmithing. Each piece is a masterpiece of art, and every gemstone showcases unparalleled rarity and beauty.”

Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of LVMH Watches and CEO of Bvlgari.

The Five Core Masterpieces

Within the Polychroma collection, five core representative works stand like temples in the jewelry world, redefining the creative boundaries of high jewelry.

The ‘Magnus Emerald’ Necklace

First, the “Magnus Emerald” necklace features a main stone that is one of the finest-quality gems ever mined in Colombia and the largest emerald ever used by the brand in a creation, weighing 241.06 carats. Its design, imbued with 1970s retro flair, perfectly showcases its extraordinary brilliance and transparency. It was worn by Priyanka Chopra at the 2025 Met Gala.

The ‘Cosmic Vault’ Necklace

The second is a necklace named “Cosmic Vault.” Lucia Silvestri, the brand’s Jewelry Creative Director, drew inspiration from constellations in the night sky and iconic Roman domes to create this piece. It is set with a deeply saturated 123.35-carat sapphire from Sri Lanka. This exquisite masterpiece of jewelry is composed of over 200 components, ensuring flexible and comfortable wear that perfectly follows the body’s curves. It was worn by Anne Hathaway at the 2025 Met Gala.

The ‘Polychrome Bloom’ Necklace

“Polychrome Bloom” is an ode to beauty and femininity, brimming with the passionate vitality characteristic of Italians. It is one of the most iconic pieces of the collection. The necklace centers on a 106.36-carat red tourmaline, flanked by a 55.52-carat peridot and a 55.11-carat tanzanite—three stunning gemstones! They are set on a rose gold base, boasting exceptional transparency and color depth, and are surrounded by blooming petals.

The ‘Celestial Mosaic’ Necklace

True to the collection’s multicultural and versatile spirit, the “Celestial Mosaic” necklace reinterprets the giant Tree of Life mosaic discovered on the floor of the Hisham’s Palace in Jericho, Palestine, dating back to the 8th century AD. It is centered on a 131.21-carat spinel, the fourth largest in the world and of the finest quality. This vibrant, extraordinary piece, reminiscent of Mughal art, is composed of nearly 200 components with flexible links for a perfect fit. This divinely inspired necklace perfectly blends bold exuberance with timeless elegance.

The Unique Cocktail Ring

Finally, a unique cocktail ring is introduced. It offers a fresh interpretation of the Trombino ring that originated in the 1930s. The ring features a unique layout with the central main diamond surrounded by baguette-cut and pavé-set diamonds. Given the unparalleled color saturation of the main fancy yellow diamond, the brand eschewed the classic faceted cut typically used for colored diamonds in favor of a more architectural Asscher cut, giving the ring a bolder, more striking appearance.

“This unique collection perfectly embodies the essence of the brand. Each piece fully expresses our colorful, vibrant brand DNA, celebrating Bvlgari’s consistently distinctive spirit of bold innovation.”
