The Italy Pavilion at the 8th CIIE, themed “Art · Craftsmanship · Innovation,” showcases the country’s commitment to deepening trade and cultural ties with China.

On November 6th, the Italy Pavilion at the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was grandly opened.

This year’s Italy Pavilion, themed “Art · Craftsmanship · Innovation,” was curated by Trendvision (a jewelry industry research institute and independent think tank of Vicenzaoro) under the creative direction of Paola De Luca. It was jointly presented by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) and the Italian Consulate General in Shanghai.

The pavilion’s design drew inspiration from Rome’s “Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana,” featuring mirrored arches and interplay of light and shadow to create an elegant artistic space. The exhibition area displayed works from 12 jewelry brands hailing from 8 Italian cities, blending classical craftsmanship with contemporary design. The pieces showcased both exquisite details in goldsmithing and gem setting, as well as bold, avant-garde forms and color expressions.
