KTL Engages with Local Market Merchants Ahead of Lunar New Year

The Korea Testing Laboratory (KTL) announced on the 11th that, ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, it visited the Jinju Central Market and Jinju Fruit & Vegetable Market, which have been facing difficulties due to rising prices, to purchase goods and communicate with merchants.

Event Participants

The event was attended by Kim Dae-sung, Chairman of KTL’s Social Value Operation Committee, along with KTL employees, Kim Dong-guk, Chairman of the Jinju Central Market Merchants Association, and Kim Young-ju, Chairman of the Jinju Fruit & Vegetable Market Merchants Association.

Market Tour and Communication

Accompanied by the market association chairmen, KTL employees visited various stores within the markets. They used pre-purchased Onnuri gift certificates to buy goods, communicated with merchants, and listened to their firsthand experiences of the traditional market’s business climate ahead of the peak holiday season, as well as the challenges they face on the ground.

Sharing and Community Engagement

Following the shopping event, the group visited the Jinju Food Market & Bank to extend Lunar New Year greetings. They also delivered the goods procured during the shopping event, sharing a warm moment of giving and community spirit.
