Mumbai, October 10, 2024: Ratan Tata, Chairman of the Tata Group and senior industrialist, passed away on Wednesday night. The 86-year-old, who bid farewell to the nation and the world, had been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital due to poor health. Just two days prior, he had urged people not to pay attention to any rumors about his health and stated that he was fine himself. Several political figures expressed grief over Ratan Tata’s demise, including PM Modi, Rajnath Singh, and Rahul Gandhi.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend the last rites of veteran industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Naval Tata on Thursday on behalf of the government. Additionally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed condolences by speaking to the industrialist’s brother, Noel. Ratan Tata, the former chairman of Indian conglomerate Tata Sons, known as a visionary business leader, passed away at a hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday night. He was 86. Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran confirmed Tata’s demise and in a statement described him as his ‘friend, guru, and guide’.

Following Ratan Tata’s demise, people are now recalling many things about him. Two days before his passing, Ratan Tata had shared an emotional post. On social media, he wrote, “Thank you for thinking of us.” Additionally, he had provided information about his health. He had said two days ago that he was perfectly fine and had come to Breach Candy Hospital for his regular check-up.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on the demise of industrialist Ratan Tata, “Ratan Tata was not only a very successful industrialist, but we see him as an even greater person. He worked for the country and society. He did not just build successful industries but established a brand that gave our country a global identity. This is a huge loss for the country.”
Additional Commissioner of Police (South Region), Mumbai, Abhinav Deshmukh said, “Ratan Tata’s mortal remains will be kept at the NCPA for public viewing from 10 AM to 3:30 PM. We appeal to all those coming for the viewing that as there is no parking facility there, they must follow police instructions and make their own parking arrangements. Police will be fully deployed.”

The mortal remains of industrialist Ratan Tata were brought to his residence in Colaba late last night. It is noted that Ratan Tata passed away at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. He was 86 years old.
