This article highlights Hong Kong’s role as a creative hub, with seven major trade fairs organized by the HKTDC this April. The events span gifts, homeware, fashion, printing, packaging, and licensing, showcasing regional innovation and business opportunities.
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is hosting seven mega events: the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, Home InStyle, and Fashion InStyle (April 27-30, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, HKCEC); the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair and DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong (held concurrently at AsiaWorld-Expo); and the Hong Kong International Licensing Show and Asian Licensing Conference (April 28-30, HKCEC). These events, featuring around 6,000 exhibitors from over 30 countries, are set to bridge Hong Kong’s creative industries with the Mainland China and international markets while reinforcing Hong Kong’s position as a regional creative hub.
Marking its 40th edition this year, the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, under the theme “Celebrating 40 Years of Wonder,” showcases products that blend functionality with creative design. The Jingdezhen Pavilion will display ceramic works combining traditional craftsmanship with modern design, such as minimalist coffee cups and tea sets, and introduce a ceramic adoption program that uses the popular blind box model to nurture the next generation of designers and artisans.
As the silver market grows rapidly and demand for elderly-friendly products continues to expand, Home InStyle introduces the Gerontech Living Pavilion, featuring innovative products and solutions from over 10 local companies. The newly revamped and expanded popular Cultural and Creative Avenue will host over 100 exhibitors from about 10 countries and regions.
At Fashion InStyle 2025, a new highlight zone, NEXT@Fashion InStyle, will be launched, hosted by the HKTDC and sponsored by the HKSAR Government’s Culture, Creative Industries and Development Agency (CCIDA). This zone will gather around 60 material suppliers from around the world to showcase high-end fashion materials.
The Printing & Packaging Fair introduces eco-friendly products in its Green Printing & Packaging Solutions Zone, such as recycled plastic yarn ribbons and water-soluble packaging cushioning materials, while DeLuxe PrintPack focuses on premium packaging solutions.
The events will include around 60 thematic seminars, buyer forums, product promotions and launch events, and fashion parades covering market analysis, cultural creative design, smart industries, the silver economy, health and wellness, and sustainability.
