This article describes the world’s largest office complex, located in Surat, India. The facility, which spans 212 acres and comprises nine interconnected towers, is a central hub for the global diamond industry, housing over 65,000 professionals.

According to reports, this office building is located in Surat, the “Diamond City” of India. Approximately 90% of the world’s diamonds are cut here. The building covers an area of about 212 acres and consists of nine 15-story rectangular structures, connected by a central “spine” in the middle. It can accommodate over 65,000 diamond professionals, including cutters, polishers, and traders.
The Surat Diamond Bourse was developed with an investment of $388 million (approximately 2.8 billion Chinese yuan). It contains over 4,700 office spaces, 131 elevators, and provides amenities for workers such as dining, retail, health, and conference facilities. All offices and spaces are equipped with state-of-the-art security systems. There is a 200,000 square foot parking area, and its geographical location is advantageous, being just 5 kilometers from the airport.
Furthermore, the building’s traffic layout features a one-way traffic loop on the surrounding peripheral roads, with separate entry and exit points. It provides dedicated lanes for cars, taxis, buses, service vehicles, goods vehicles, trucks, custom trucks, and two-wheelers, along with specific entry and exit points for service vehicles. This design aims to minimize traffic congestion to the greatest extent and eliminate potential vehicle conflict points.
Reports state that after four years of construction work, the Surat Diamond Bourse is set to welcome its first batch of occupants this November.
