From October 3 to 20, 2025, the world of auctions comes alive with a packed schedule of events in Italy and abroad. From high-end jewelry creations to book collections, from modern art to design, leading international auction houses present a series of unmissable dates for collectors and enthusiasts.
The first week of October promises to be a particularly eventful period for the art market, with a calendar brimming with events ranging from fine jewelry and design masterpieces to modern and contemporary art and precious paper artifacts. On the Italian side, auction house activities focus on several valuable sectors.
Leading the way is the Florentine house Pandolfini, offering an elegant selection of JEWELRY from October 3 to 9, an online event that will delight goldsmiths. Also starting October 3 and running until October 17, Maison Bibelot invites you to discover the second part of A Significant Florentine Collection: The Library, an opportunity to acquire rare volumes of great historical value. On October 3, Finarte in Rome transports us to a dream world with the auction Fairy Tales/Original Illustrations, dedicated to the magic of drawing. The week continues with a series of auctions offered by Cambi, which provides a wide selection for collectors in Milan: until October 6, one can bid on Jewelry, while on October 7 the auction AMC – Artist Prints concludes. On October 8, the focus shifts to Genoa for the Antiques Auction. The renowned Gonnelli in Florence will delight bibliophiles from October 7 to 9 with AUCTION 63 – Books, Autographs, and Manuscripts, while Viscontea in Milan will present the MILANO DECOR AUCTION – Antiques, Art, and Design on October 7. Concluding the Italian calendar from October 8 to 20 is Colasanti with its online auction for modern and contemporary art.
Across the border, the international stage is enlivened with an equally rich and diverse offering. Artcurial in Paris kicks off the week with two online events: Until October 3, one can participate in the Online Auction Prints & Multiples, while from October 3 to 9, Intérieurs des XXe & XXIe siècles Online takes center stage. Also in the French capital, Bonhams Cornette de Saint-Cyr (now part of Bonhams) offers a foray into nonconformist art starting October 3 with Diplomatic Friendships: Soviet Nonconformist Art from a Swiss Collection. The same auction house hosts other important online auctions: on October 6, Impressionist & Modern Art Online; on October 7, Vintage Spirit – Lots sold without reserve; and on October 9, Modern & Contemporary African Art.
Bonhams has a particularly full schedule: On October 3, the Audrain Auction takes place in Newport, an unmissable event for classic car lovers. Several online auctions conclude during this period: October 7 is the last day for bids on American Art, Prints & Multiples in Los Angeles, and Weekly: Jewelry. On October 8, it’s the turn of Scottish Art in Edinburgh, while the online auction of Rare and Collectible Coins Online ends. Two other online auctions in this period are Photographs (October 1-10) and The Jason Jacques Collection Online (October 2-10).
Phillips offers a major online auction in New York with Jewels from Hong Kong, ending on October 3, and from October 2 to 10, interested parties can follow the Phillips Watches Online Auction: The New York Sessions, Fall 2025. In Vienna, Dorotheum presents an online auction on October 6 with modern and contemporary graphics and on October 9, Watches and Men’s Accessories. Finally, in Paris, the auction house Piasa dedicates two events on October 8 to design with Bruno Gambone, glazed stoneware and Italian Design.
