…says a likeable senior citizen in the video on her company’s website. At the same time, she promotes the last “handcrafted jewelry pieces” from her manufactory. Such advertising clips are currently running en masse on social media platforms. Jewelry and leather goods are primarily advertised. But: there are neither the nice workshop owners nor the noble handmade one-off pieces. Instead, they are AI-generated advertising avatars and mass-produced goods from China.
