Excitement is intensifying across the country regarding the bullet train. It is being reported that trial runs on its first Mumbai-Ahmedabad route could begin by June 2026. It is being said that bullet trains could start running in the country from August 15, 2027. In the first phase, the bullet train will run from Ahmedabad to Mumbai. Meanwhile, its second phase could be from Delhi to Ahmedabad. The Delhi to Ahmedabad track includes several cities in Rajasthan. Several stations in Rajasthan will come on this track.

People are already expressing their curiosity on the internet about whether the bullet train will have sleeping facilities or not. A user on the knowledge-sharing site Quora has shared information on this. It states that bullet trains do not have sleeper coaches. Typically, they are so fast that they reach their destination in just a few hours. Japan’s sleeper bullet trains were the Shinkansen, which have been discontinued. The user also wrote that perhaps business or first-class seats are so comfortable that one can sleep in them for a while.

The bullet train running on the Delhi-Ahmedabad route will mainly include stations at Alwar (Behror), Shahjahanpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Vijainagar (near Ajmer), Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, and Kherwara (Dungarpur). Along with the state capital, this route is also connecting several cities in Rajasthan’s Mewar region.

Delhi-Ahmedabad route will be 875 kilometers long

The Delhi-Ahmedabad bullet train route will be 875 kilometers long. The bullet train will pass through 7 districts and 335 villages in Rajasthan. Out of a total of 11 stations, 9 will be in Rajasthan. In between, 5 major rivers of the country will also be crossed. Work on land acquisition for this will also begin soon.
