Foundation Stone Laid for Major Education Hub

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for the Tamil Nadu Knowledge City in Tiruvallur district on Thursday. The integrated education hub will host campuses of eight international universities and related facilities. The project, launched during the India Global Education Summit 2026, aims to strengthen the State’s academic footprint.

Chief Minister M K Stalin inaugurated the ₹60-crore, 650-metre L-shaped flyover at Madhya Kailash, linking Sardar Patel Road and OMR. The four-lane flyover will ease traffic for over 11,000 vehicles daily. Authorities also plan signal-free junctions and bus stand relocation to further reduce congestion and improve traffic flow.
