It underscores the growing cultural confidence within China’s fashion and jewelry industries, as over 40 companies and numerous designers presented work celebrating “Chinese charm.” The gathering also served as a platform for meaningful dialogue between Eastern and Western design philosophies, pointing to the dynamic, global future of cultural expression in fashion.

Over 40 jewelry enterprises showcased designs brimming with “Chinese charm” and “splendor,” while students from 38 renowned design institutes and independent designers engaged in East-West cultural exchanges… On October 17, the 2024 Oriental Imagery Fashion Gala commenced in Luohu, Shenzhen, creating a spectacular fashion feast surging with Chinese cultural trends.
Centered on the theme “Chinese Charm and Splendor,” the 2024 Oriental Imagery Fashion Gala continued to deepen its founding philosophy of “driving brand power through product strength,” exploring the collision and integration of East and West, ancient and modern, to foster high-quality development in the jewelry industry.
The “Chinese Charm and Splendor” themed fashion show integrated cyberpunk-style dragon, phoenix, lily, and gold foil elements into a classical backdrop, showcasing a fusion of classical and modern aesthetics. Models elegantly displayed the exquisite craftsmanship of participating companies while adorned in jewelry and lavish attire. The “Chinese Trends for Children” themed show offered a novel perspective, highlighting the exchange of Chinese and Western cultures and the inheritance of Chinese culture.
This year’s gala presented multiple awards including the “Divine Craftsmanship Award,” “New Charm of Chinese Style Award,” “Trendsetting Elegance Award,” “Treasure of Chinese Charm Award,” and “Masterful Craftsmanship Award.”
Simultaneously, the gala hosted the inaugural “East-West Fusion” Jewelry Design Invitational for the Global Expression of Chinese Elements, inviting submissions from globally renowned design institutes and independent designers. Under strict evaluation by global experts, the first prize was awarded to Xu Jiaming, a graduate of China University of Geosciences (Beijing), for the necklace “Wisteria Whispers.”
The gala also specially established a “Competition Judge Award,” honoring distinguished figures in the industry.
On October 18, the 2024 Shuibei (Autumn) China Jewelry Industry Development Pragmatic Forum was held concurrently. As a key component of the 2024 Oriental Imagery (China) Fashion Gala, the forum focused on new ideas, trends, and designs for jewelry industry development, inviting global jewelry masters to discuss development and envision the future.
At the Sino-Italian Jewelry Brand Forum in the morning, Monica Cecchini, founder of Rome Jewelry Week, emphasized the role of the Oriental Imagery Fashion Gala in driving innovation in the international jewelry industry, believing that Eastern elements can inspire designers’ creativity.
Multiple afternoon sub-forums focused on analyzing and forecasting consumption trends in the global diamond and gemstone markets. Andrew Lucas, Dean of Education at the American GUILD Gemological Laboratory, discussed the global supply chain for diamonds and gemstones and consumption trends in the international market for 2025.
The Sino-Italian Jewelry Design Forum aimed to open the treasure trove of Eastern aesthetics for Chinese jewelry designers, drawing inspiration from traditional culture.
