Richemont is set to expand its Italian jewelry brand Vhernier into Asia, with Hong Kong confirmed as a key location.

Swiss luxury goods giant Richemont is preparing for the Asian market expansion of its Italian contemporary high jewelry brand, Vhernier.

A spokesperson for Hongkong & Shanghai Hotels Ltd. confirmed that Vhernier’s first Asian boutique will open later this year at The Peninsula Hong Kong, which is owned by the company. Citing sources familiar with the matter, Bloomberg reported that the store is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter.

Vhernier was co-founded in 1984 by Angela Camurati in Valenza, a center of Italian jewelry manufacturing, and is headquartered in Milan. Valenza is one of Italy’s and the world’s most important gold jewelry production areas, known for its handcrafted jewelry.
