A company in Singapore has adopted a unique way to honor its employees. The company rewarded staff who have worked for a long time by giving them precious gold commemorative tokens. This news has also become a topic of discussion on social media, as the company spent approximately 3.5 crore rupees on this initiative. The company is Chang Cheng Holdings, which gave gold plaques to those employees who have worked with the company for 10 years or more.
The weight of these gold plaques was kept between 20 to 30 grams, and the price of each plaque is reported to be over 3 lakh rupees. The company says this step was taken to honor the hard work and loyalty of the employees. Chang Cheng Holdings started in 1994 from a small food stall. Gradually, the company grew rapidly and today it operates 160 restaurants and over 30 coffee shops in Singapore.
The company currently has over 1,200 employees. On the occasion of its 32nd anniversary, the company organized a grand event, which included a large ceremony with over 100 tables. During this ceremony, long-serving employees were given plaques made of 999 pure gold.
These plaques were engraved with the company’s logo, the design of the headquarters, and the employees’ years of service. Additionally, these plaques were presented in special red-colored gift boxes, making them look even more special.
According to information, those who worked for 10 to 14 years received 20 grams of gold, those with 15 to 19 years received 25 grams, and those who completed 20 years received a 30-gram plaque. Overall, the value of these gifts is estimated to be approximately 500,000 Singapore dollars, or about 3.5 crore rupees.
The company’s founder said that these gold gifts are not just rewards but a symbol of gratitude and respect towards the employees. This is why this initiative is being praised everywhere.
