Expo Centre Sharjah concluded the 56th edition of the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show yesterday, Sunday, attracting over 91,000 visitors and marking a 5 percent increase compared to the previous edition.
Organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the five-day exhibition hosted more than 500 exhibitors, alongside 1,800 designers, manufacturers, and professionals from major global jewellery houses. The show reaffirmed its status as one of the leading gold and jewellery trade events in the UAE and the wider region.
The exhibition announced the winners of the grand prize draws, which included an Audi A3 and luxury gold and diamond sets.
Among the standout attractions was Al Romaizan Gold and Jewellery’s “Dubai Dress”, officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s heaviest gold dress, weighing 10.0812 kg of 21-carat gold and valued at AED 4.6 million.

Other highlights included the world’s largest raw turquoise stone (20 kg, AED 800,000), and the “Miryah Wahaj Al Arabia”—the world’s largest gold mirror, weighing over three kilograms and crafted by people of determination.
Visitors explored a wide collection of high-end jewellery including diamond-studded necklaces, bracelets, rings, and luxury watches, all offered at competitive prices. The show successfully combined cultural artistry with modern luxury trends.
This year’s edition witnessed an expanded international presence, with over 68% of exhibitors coming from abroad. First-time participation included jewellers from Australia, Myanmar, and Pakistan.
The event also featured leading names from Italy, India, Türkiye, USA, Russia, UK, Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia, alongside strong local representation from Emirati brands and regional exhibitors.

The Emirati Goldsmiths Platform recorded significant growth, with 530 members registered—an increase of 35% over the previous year. The platform offered designers key opportunities to present their work to a broader audience at both local and international levels.
Designs ranged from diamond-studded luxury collections to heritage-inspired pieces and modern, culturally rooted jewellery, gaining wide acclaim for their craftsmanship and creativity.
Jewellery houses from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman showcased their latest collections alongside top UAE brands. Bahrain’s exclusive pearl jewellery attracted particular interest for its blend of tradition and modern design.

Emphasis was also placed on wedding-season collections, including bridal sets and pieces inspired by traditional symbols such as the “hayoul” and “mandous”, bridging cultural heritage with contemporary aesthetics.
Backed by Al Romaizan Gold and Jewellery as diamond sponsor, and Salem Al Shueibi Jewellery as platinum sponsor, the show earned wide praise from exhibitors, who affirmed its critical role as a premier platform for showcasing the latest innovations in gold and jewellery design.
