Sirsa Trade Association President Hira Lal Sharma informed that a meeting was held yesterday with all office bearers of the trade association, in which it was decided that traders will keep the city’s markets closed on Sundays.
Due to the continuously increasing cases of Corona in the district, the Sirsa Trade Association has now taken a decision. In a meeting held on Monday, the office bearers of the trade association decided that markets in Sirsa will now be kept closed on Sundays. However, shops selling essential goods will remain open. Trade Association President Hira Lal Sharma said that this decision has been taken by the trade association.
It is noteworthy that in the last 1 week, Corona cases in Sirsa have been continuously increasing. Since the unlock, people have become careless. Most people in the markets are seen without masks. In addition, social distancing is also being flouted. Crowds are being seen in the markets. Amidst all this, the Sirsa Trade Association has taken this decision.
He said that some traders discussed changing the market closure timing, but no decision was made on that. He said that shops selling essential goods will remain open.
So far, 209 cases of Corona have been reported in Sirsa. Of these, 73 cases are active while 125 Corona infected have recovered and returned home. In the last one week, more than 60 cases have been reported. After which such decisions are being taken.
