The Vigilance Department of the Jaipur Municipal Corporation is currently focusing on removing encroachments from the city. Encroachments have been cleared from around the Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple and nearly 60 other locations in the city.
In recent days, the Vigilance Department of the Municipal Corporation has conducted a special campaign against encroachments at several locations in the city. During the campaign, encroachments were removed from Moti Dungri and all major surrounding areas. Officials stated that apart from the Moti Dungri temple area, temporary encroachments were cleared from Gandhi Nagar Station, Sanganer Diggi Road, Sanganer Market, Municipal Corporation Road in Sanganer, NRI Marg, Vidyadhar Nagar, Parshuram Circle, Lata Cinema, and Agrasen Circle.
According to officials, this campaign is being conducted extensively. It is ongoing simultaneously in different parts of Jaipur city. Temporary encroachments have been removed from over 60 locations, including Walled City, Statue Circle, Sahkar Marg, Janpath, and Bais Godown.
During the campaign, the team removed temporary encroachments from public roads, footpaths, and market lanes. On a large scale, goods placed on the road for encroachment purposes were seized. These goods have been sent to the Municipal Corporation’s warehouse.
The Vigilance Department team imposed a fine of 1.18 lakh rupees on the encroachers. According to officials, such campaigns will continue to be conducted regularly in the coming days.
