This article highlights a strategic international expansion by the Belgian startup iTraceiT, backed by Walloon investment. It underscores the region’s commitment to fostering innovative ventures in the global marketplace.

The startup iTraceiT is launching on the international stage via the United States and India with the support of the W.IN.G investment fund. The Walloon government has decided to grant a subsidy of 250,000 euros to this Belgian startup, which initiated the design of the world’s first digital diamond passport. Thanks to this additional capital provided by the W.IN.G investment fund, the startup will launch on the international stage via the United States and India, two major hubs of the diamond sector after Antwerp. Furthermore, this subsidy will enable the company to establish an R&D department in Belgium and, through the passport, trace not only the origin of diamonds and gold but also the entire journey of jewelry.
