【Paris, Franc】LVMH at the 9th Edition of VivaTech, Europe’s Largest Event Dedicated to Startups and Technology

Editor’s Note

This article highlights LVMH’s continued partnership with the VivaTech summit, where its dedicated “Dreamscape” space showcases innovations from its Maisons and tech partners, aligning with the Group’s mission of “Crafting Dreams.”

The Dream, Realized

VivaTech brings together the major players in technological innovation from around the world – startups, large corporations, investors, and tech leaders – for four days, from June 11 to 14, for high-level exchanges and presentations.
As a founding partner of this unmissable event, LVMH is once again presenting, in a dedicated space called the LVMH Dreamscape, a panel of innovations imagined by its Maisons and their technology partners to support the Group’s vocation of “Crafting Dreams” and to collectively write the future of luxury.
This year, rather than presenting innovations imagined by its Maisons on one side and promising startups that have caught its attention on the other, LVMH has chosen to highlight shared stories and collaborations whose concrete results are already visible and which possess strong potential for deployment within the Group.
Within its Dreamscape, LVMH is showcasing no fewer than 15 inspiring collaborations between its Maisons and their visionary technology partners.
At the threshold of the Dreamscape, the eye is drawn to a black robot moving in front of a Louis Vuitton Speedy bag. This is the 3D photogrammetry device designed by Rigsters, which allows for ultra-precise and efficient product digitization. Right next to it, Louis Vuitton demonstrates how OKCC’s GenAI solution can enhance these 3D assets, for example by creating impactful backgrounds or fitting them onto live models.

A few steps away, in a space framed by majestic wicker giraffes, Dior displays on a giant screen two technological solutions that elevate the customer journey. One of them, developed by Kahoona, is able to personalize a website visitor’s experience, even if they have not logged in to Dior.com. As for Scandit’s solution, it leverages augmented reality to support customer advisors and logistics operators, in order to offer customers an increasingly exceptional experience.
Right behind, a revolution in the world of high jewelry awaits. Discover how Bvlgari, with the help of Dev4Side, gave birth to connected jewelry. An app, downloadable on any smartphone, allows one to read the serial numbers inscribed in micro-engraving and access the product’s digital passport containing a wealth of information about the origin of the stones, their quality, rarity…
Continue your visit, pass by the robotic arm meticulously painting, point by point, a decidedly unique X.O carafe – the fruit of Hennessy’s collaboration with OKCC – before discovering how Moët & Chandon analyzes grapes using AI implemented with Hiphen, which allowed the Maison to evaluate nearly 16,000 pallets of grapes in less than three weeks.
Stop for a moment to observe the meticulousness with which a Tiffany & Co. craftswoman engraves a piece of jewelry by hand, demonstrating a historic savoir-faire of the Maison, and embark on a multisensory journey with Olfactory Symphonies. Co-designed by Guerlain, Olfy, and Ircam Amplify, Olfactory Symphonies invites you to discover the olfactory, sound, and visual translation of the six key ingredients – jasmine, bergamot, rose, vanilla, tonka bean, and iris – of the Maison’s iconic perfume, Shalimar.

Inspiring Talks

On the VivaTech Main Stage, Maud Alvarez-Pereyre, Human Resources Director of the LVMH group, participated in a roundtable titled “The Human Algorithm: Leading Work and Talent in the AI Age,” alongside Jim Snabe, Chairman of Siemens, and Jonas Prising, CEO of Manpower.

“We are working to deploy pilots in each of our professions, then to scale them up, which is a challenge in a decentralized group like ours. This is a human transformation, in which Human Resources has a very important role to play.”
“Human contact is at the heart of our industry, human savoir-faire at the heart of our products, human interaction at the heart of our relationship with customers. AI can augment some of our professions, but it will never substitute for the human,” she emphasizes.

Alongside speeches on the various VivaTech stages, the LVMH Dreamscape will be a privileged place for exchange and discussions, where numerous leaders will come to discuss key technological challenges for the Group and its Maisons. Throughout the duration of the show, over 70 talks and nearly 200 speakers will take turns.

June 12 – Day 2 – Celebrating Lasting Ties with Startups

This second day opens with a now-unmissable sequence of VivaTech: the LVMH Innovation Award ceremony.
In front of a packed room, Stéphane Bianchi, Deputy CEO of the LVMH group, kicked off the ceremony by recalling that for LVMH, innovation is a key driver of growth and differentiation.
