Editor’s Note
This excerpt highlights the core concept of ‘tsugu’—connecting, mending, and continuing—as realized in the final ‘remix’ section of an exhibition, where worn garments are repaired and reimagined, embodying a commitment to sustainable practice.

After passing through the ‘voice’ section composed of interviews with Minagawa and various stakeholders, one arrives at the final section, ‘remix’. This section offers a glimpse into minä’s commitment to sustainability. Here, garments that customers have worn and needed repair are publicly solicited and remixed with new designs. This can be said to embody the very act of ‘tsugu’ (connecting, mending, continuing), which is also the theme of this exhibition.

It is noted that in the atelier set up at the venue, Minagawa himself may work during the exhibition period (the schedule will be announced after December).
Atelier of minä perhonen
In the fast-paced world of fashion, minä perhonen has built its own unique universe. The word ‘tsugu’ is likely the core concept that will realize Minagawa’s wish to create “a brand that lasts for at least 100 years.”
