Angola’s polished-diamond exports saw remarkable growth in 2025, with volume and sales value more than doubling year-on-year despite a challenging global market and a slight decline in average prices.

Angola’s polished-diamond exports grew in 2025, despite the challenges in the global market.
During the year, Angola shipped 23,300 carats of polished diamonds, an increase of 127% compared to 2024, Sodiam, Angola’s state-owned diamond-marketing and sales division, said Monday. Sales value rose 107% to $109.7 million.
The average price per carat slid 9% to $4,706 amid difficult global market conditions, which reflect an increase in demand for synthetic diamonds and an oversupply of natural polished diamonds.
The overall growth in sales value and volume in the segment received a boost from a 176% jump in polished-diamond exports by Indian company KGK’s Angola-based manufacturing facility.
