Cafe24 and AI Technology Companies Accelerate Cooperation

The global e-commerce platform Cafe24 (CEO Lee Jae-seok) announced on the 29th that it established new partnerships with 17 AI-specialized companies last year, including Riiid Tech. The total number of AI partner companies, which was 25 until 2022, increased to 42 by the end of last year.

Providing Over 50 AI Services…Content Creation, Data Analysis, and More

AI companies are launching a variety of e-commerce services for online shopping mall operators based on the Cafe24 platform. Specifically, they have introduced over 50 services across areas including ▲advertising/marketing ▲member acquisition ▲customer service (CS) ▲video/image creation ▲data analysis.

“Any Cafe24 shopping mall operator can obtain high-quality content from Riiid by simply requesting writing without complex processes,” said Kim Young-bin, Team Leader of Business Development at Riiid. “It saves time for businesses that constantly communicate with customers via text and will contribute to brand growth.”

StyleBot is enhancing the styling competitiveness of fashion apparel brands using AI technology. It can analyze clothing sold in online shopping malls and the latest fashion trend information to generate styling combination content in seconds. Last month, this technology was showcased at ‘CES 2024’ in Las Vegas, USA.

“Fashion styling created by AI with detailed data has a high potential to trigger consumer purchases,” said Kim So-hyun, CEO of StyleBot. “We received high praise from global fashion brands at CES and plan to increase business performance this year as well.”
AI App Usage Surged 63% Last Year…Simultaneous Increase in Online Mall Sales and Operational Efficiency

The growth trend among online businesses seeking AI services is also steep. Last year, the number of AI app downloads on ‘Cafe24 Store’, which provides e-commerce functions as applications, surged by 63% compared to the previous year. The phenomenon of using various AI apps to simultaneously increase sales and work efficiency is catalyzing this growth.

The jewelry company ‘Goldpang’ creates advertising videos for its monthly influx of 800,000 customers using ‘Vcat’, an AI service from Pion Corporation. It can automatically produce advertising videos using images and information from product pages in about a minute, significantly reducing content investment burden.

“Creating videos to propagate the brand’s direction has become much easier thanks to AI technology,” said Lee Yong-soo, CEO of Goldpang. “We will continue to expand our customer base with videos that spark interest among jewelry beginners.”

The coffee tech company ‘Brownbag’ enhanced its CS operations using ‘Channel Talk’, an AI business messenger from Channel Corporation. The feature where Channel Talk analyzes customer inquiries and recommends appropriate responses to CS staff was useful.

“As we regularly deliver various coffee beans to about 3,000 client companies, the scope of CS inquiries is also widening,” explained Sung Chi-hoon, Director of the Business Team at Brownbag. “With AI’s help, our responses have become more sophisticated, and we can increase customer satisfaction.”
Cafe24 Store Total Transaction Volume Rises 75%…Expectations for Active Cooperation with AI Companies

The number of AI companies cooperating with Cafe24 is expected to continue growing. This is because they can expand the customer base for their own AI services in the continuously growing e-commerce market. Online businesses can also easily utilize rapidly developing AI services in the right place at the right time to accelerate their business growth.

Benefiting from this virtuous cycle structure, the total app transaction volume of Cafe24 Store last year jumped to 24.8 billion won, an increase of about 75% compared to the previous year. Moving forward, Cafe24 plans to introduce innovative e-commerce services with partners possessing AI technology competitiveness and support the success of online businesses.

“The role of AI is rapidly growing in the e-commerce market, which has become a global arena for cutting-edge technology competition,” said Lee Jae-seok, CEO of Cafe24. “We will strive to deliver the benefits of technology to e-commerce businesses, developers, and end consumers alike.”
