Pforzheim Jewelry Companies at Inhorgenta

Pforzheim. Europe’s largest jewelry and watch fair, Inhorgenta, opened its doors in Munich on Friday. Until next Monday, over 25,000 trade visitors from 90 countries are expected again, similar to last year. Represented as exhibitors are over 1,300 brands from 38 countries, including around 60 companies from Pforzheim and the Enzkreis district.

Industry Leader’s Assessment

Guido Grohmann, Managing Director of the Federal Association for Jewelry & Watches (BVSU), headquartered in the ‘Gold City’ of Pforzheim, drew a nuanced conclusion at the start of the trade fair.

“The industry is facing a challenging year. While the high-end segment remains stable, the mid-range market is under significant pressure from consumer restraint and high energy costs.”
