The HKTDC’s twin jewellery shows, running from March 2 to 8, bring together 4,000 exhibitors from over 40 countries, offering a comprehensive platform from raw materials to finished pieces.

The 12th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), opened yesterday (March 2) and runs for five consecutive days at the AsiaWorld-Expo. The 42nd Hong Kong International Jewellery Show will be held from March 4 to 8 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai.
This year, the two shows collectively attract approximately 4,000 exhibitors from over 40 countries and regions.

“As the world’s largest one-stop jewellery trading platform, the HKTDC’s twin jewellery shows adopt a ‘two shows, two venues’ model, offering a dazzling array of products ranging from raw materials like diamonds, gems, and pearls to finished jewellery, designer brands, setting components, product packaging, testing instruments, and technologies. This year, the twin shows gather around 4,000 exhibitors from over 40 countries and regions, with 70% coming from outside Hong Kong, demonstrating the highly international nature of the exhibitions,” said Sophia Chong, Deputy Executive Director of HKTDC.
Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show Showcases Top-Tier Jewellery Raw Materials

The Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show, which opened yesterday, features over 20 exhibition groups from different countries, regions, and industries, including Germany, Italy, Colombia, the United States, India, and Thailand. Notably, the Zhushan County Turquoise Exhibition Group makes its debut. Zhushan County in Hubei Province, China, is known as the “Hometown of Chinese Turquoise” and is one of the world’s renowned sources of high-quality turquoise. The Zhushan turquoise group brings together 11 exhibitors, showcasing natural treasures from the Qinba Mountains.
The Tanzanite Association, a favorite among buyers, continues to participate, while the International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) brings 37 exhibitors displaying various precious colored gemstones. Cody Opal (Australia) Pty Ltd (Booth: AWE 8-E01) from Australia presents Lightning Ridge black opals, exhibiting vivid and multi-directional colors.
The Zhushan County Turquoise Exhibition Group from Hubei Province makes its debut at the Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show, presenting high-quality turquoise with rich color to global buyers.
The show’s three major product zones—Hall of Fine Diamonds, Treasures of Nature, and Treasures of Ocean—display top-tier diamonds, natural gemstones, and pearls from around the world. Among them, Hong Kong exhibitor Arihant Star (HK) Limited (Booth: AWE 5-C15) showcases a fancy intense pink VVS2 diamond; US exhibitor Emco Gem Inc. (Booth: AWE 7-H01) presents an 11-carat cushion-shaped Colombian emerald; and French exhibitor Alain Boite S.A.S. (Booth: AWE 1-A20) displays a necklace made of 14 to 15.8 mm freshwater pearls.
The Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show gathers over 20 exhibition groups from different countries, regions, and industries, and features three high-end product zones—Hall of Fine Diamonds, Treasures of Nature, and Treasures of Ocean—covering top-tier diamonds, gemstones, pearls, and jewellery raw materials globally.
This year’s Testing, Inspection & Certification zone includes about 10 exhibitors offering jewellery testing services. Among them, GIA Hong Kong Laboratory Limited (Booth: AWE 9-M03) has launched a new colored gemstone identification report, providing clearer information on gemstone variety, treatment processes, and origin, helping the industry and consumers understand the unique value of each gemstone. In addition to existing gemstone origin identification services, the lab has expanded to cover opal, peridot, and demantoid garnet. Gubelin Hong Kong Limited (Booth: AWE 7-H26), a gemstone identification and research institute, offers professional identification services and is committed to advancing gemstone origin traceability technology, further enhancing the accuracy and transparency of identification work.

The Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show will host multiple industry seminars, jewellery fashion shows, and networking receptions, allowing participants to grasp market trends in natural diamonds and gemstone identification technologies. Highlights include:
– **March 2 (Monday): Natural Diamonds** – “Forever Forward: Igniting Desire for Natural Diamonds” – Representatives from De Beers Group analyze the dynamics and trends of the natural diamond market from various perspectives.
– **March 4 (Wednesday): Jewellery Origin Certification** – “From Mine to Jewelry Box: Building a Transparent Gemstone Journey” – Speakers from Gübelin Gem Lab Limited explain how to combine scientific testing, supply chain tracking, and blockchain records to ensure the origin of each gemstone, providing consumer confidence.
– **March 5 (Thursday): Zhushan Turquoise** – “Zhushan Turquoise Enters Hong Kong” Special Promotion – Speakers share the process from mining to crafting turquoise ornaments and explain how to appreciate the beauty of turquoise.

Hong Kong International Jewellery Show Shines on Wednesday

In addition to the Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show, the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show opening this Wednesday will display a variety of finished jewellery pieces. The show gathers 20 exhibition groups from around the world. The World Gold Council will debut a Hard Gold Pavilion, featuring 11 exhibitors from Mainland China promoting innovative gold crafting techniques. Also making its debut is the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Pavilion, showcasing the exquisite craftsmanship of jewellery watches. Additionally, multiple creative design zones bring together over 50 designer exhibitors, including the Designer Galleria. The Hall of Fame zone has expanded by over 40%, offering more magnificent international brand jewellery not to be missed.

To facilitate buyer visits to both shows, the organizer provides free shuttle buses between the AsiaWorld-Expo and urban areas (including the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai). On-site buyers can use Scan2Match to scan exhibitors’ QR codes for online negotiations anytime, anywhere during or after the show.
