The long-awaited Moncler x Jil Sander collection, first previewed at a major Shanghai showcase, has now arrived. This collaboration merges high-altitude performance with minimalist luxury.

Moncler and Jil Sander, High Attitude

A little over a year ago, eight thousand people gathered at the massive City of Genius by Moncler in Shanghai for an exceptional runway show presenting ten collaborations between the French-origin ski brand and various personalities and fashion houses. Among them were Nigo, Asap Rocky, Rick Owens (featured in Harper’s Bazaar in November 2024), and Jil Sander, whose arrival on shelves was eagerly awaited. On November 18, that wait ended. Inspired by all things found in nature, from curves to colors, the inaugural Moncler and Jil Sander collection is finally available. In white, black, and red, with original-shaped down jackets and jewel-like pins, this collaboration perfectly skis on an alliance between the latter’s minimalist creed and the former’s mountain heritage. And if you had never seen a ski skirt, now you have. On the slopes!

The New Luxurious Saint Laurent Address on Avenue Montaigne

Few avenues in the world evoke the luxury experience as much as Avenue Montaigne. It was therefore only natural that Saint Laurent had its quarters there since 2013, at number 53. But a few days ago, the Parisian fashion house moved up the avenue, relocating to 35-37, where it has just opened its new boutique. Designed under the direction of Anthony Vaccarello and refined over more than two years, it secretly holds many wonders. The women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, leather goods, and accessories collections, of course, but also an impressive collection of furniture. A pair of Süe & Mare armchairs, a Paul Poiret daybed for the Atelier Martine that belonged to Yves Saint Laurent, a Charlotte Perriand sofa, and even a table by François-Xavier Lalanne, complemented by works from the Pinault Collection, including a new piece by Mark Bradford, for a near-museum-like experience, true to the house’s convictions.

The Chic Auction of Farida Khelfa’s Archives

On the podcast Habitudes in February 2024, Farida Khelfa mentioned the existence of a huge storage space where she carefully kept hundreds of collection pieces:

Saint Laurent, Avenue Montaigne.
“I have a hard time parting with them, there’s something emotional about it, but I should do it.”

Here she is, nearly two years later, offering at Maurice Auction a massive auction of her personal archives. 200 looks and accessories, witnesses to her journey and her privileged relationships with couturiers like Alaïa and Gaultier, to whom she offers a second life.

“This collection represents my life in fashion from my beginnings until today. It is both very personal and public. I have a very intimate, almost fetishistic relationship with my clothes. It’s time to pass the baton. I love the idea of them being worn by others,”

she writes in the press release. Dresses, coats, knits—these are rare pieces, often dating from the 1980s, about to be submitted to the fate of the auction block. She, whom Azzedine Alaïa helped and supported so much, wishes to help in turn; thus, a portion of the sale’s profits will be donated to the Fond Riace, which supports welcoming exiles in France. Interested parties should grab their wallets immediately.
