The Panna district, famous for its priceless diamonds across the country and abroad, has yielded another precious gem from its treasure-laden earth. Two large diamonds have been found here in the past 24 hours. While a precious 15.34-carat diamond was deposited on Tuesday, Rajendra Singh’s fortune shone on Wednesday morning. He found a 3.39-carat gem-quality diamond. Its estimated price is said to be around 15 lakh rupees. Rajendra Singh has deposited this diamond at the office, where it will be placed in the upcoming diamond auction.
Rajendra Singh recounted that he suffered a heart attack a few years ago and also faced paralysis issues last year. This left him unable to continue farming. In such circumstances, he came to Panna and, after praying at the feet of Jugalkishor Sarkar, resolved to start a diamond mine. Following this, he took a lease in Krishnakalyanpur patti and began excavation work with laborers for about seven months. Finally, his hard work paid off, and he found a large, precious diamond.
Diamond expert Anupam Singh stated that this 3.39-carat diamond is of gem quality. It will be placed in the upcoming auction. It is estimated that it will fetch an excellent price at the auction.
