Sana Ganguly, daughter of former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly, had a narrow escape in a road accident on Friday evening. Her car was hit by a bus on Diamond Harbour Road in Kolkata. After the accident, the bus fled the scene, but the car’s driver chased the bus and stopped it near Sakharbazar. Sana Ganguly is reported to be safe and sound.
According to a report by India Today, Sana Ganguly was sitting in the passenger seat next to the driver when her car was hit by a bus in the Behala Chowrasta area. Police arrived at the scene immediately after being informed and took the bus driver into custody. The collision caused minor damage to her car.
Sana Ganguly, the only child of Sourav Ganguly and his wife, renowned Odissi dancer Dona, began her education at Loreto House in Kolkata and earned a degree in Economics from University College London. Currently, she works as a consultant at INNOVERV, a boutique consulting firm based in London, as indicated by her LinkedIn profile. Her experience also includes a full-time role with Enactus, a student-led organization focused on social entrepreneurship.
Sana Ganguly has also completed an internship at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the world’s second-largest professional services network. Prior to her current role at INNOVERV, she interned at Deloitte. Last August, Sourav, Dona, and Sana Ganguly participated in a candlelight march in Kolkata organized in protest against the rape and murder of a junior doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
