SCSK Corporation (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, Executive Officer, President: Takaaki Toma; hereinafter SCSK) has entered and will expand its business on the automotive industry’s first software-dedicated B2B web marketplace, operated by SDVerse LLC (Headquarters: Michigan, USA; hereinafter SDVerse). This move aims to expand sales of the company’s products and services in mobility development.

1. Background

In recent years, the automotive industry has seen the spread of software-centric concepts such as “Software Defined Vehicle (SDV)” and “Software Defined Mobility (SDM)” due to the evolution of EVs and autonomous driving technology. In cutting-edge vehicles built around software, over 300 million lines of software code are installed, and more than 100 electronic control units (ECUs) are used for control, making vehicle development increasingly advanced and complex. Consequently, the automotive software domain is a highly specialized field with diverse security requirements and products/services. A key challenge is that automakers and parts suppliers spend significant time and effort selecting optimal technologies and partners.
Amid this situation, SCSK aims to expand awareness of its products and services and enhance business opportunities for companies facing challenges in selecting optimal technologies and partners by participating in the global marketplace “SDVerse,” designed for efficient matching and information provision of automotive parts and software products.

2. About SDVerse

SDVerse is the automotive industry’s first software-dedicated B2B web marketplace. In addition to founding companies General Motors (USA), MAGNA (Canada), and Wipro (India), original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), major parts suppliers (Tier 1), and software suppliers participate.
This marketplace provides a mechanism within a common web market environment, like an online store, where participants can publicly list, evaluate, and negotiate the sale and purchase of software and services with each other. By enabling rapid procurement, it promotes industry collaboration in the mobility development field and accelerates innovation at mobility development sites.
