Water Supply Disruption in Delhi

The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has announced that water supply will be disrupted for 48 hours in several areas of Delhi starting from 25th February (Wednesday). This disruption is due to interconnection work.

DJB has appealed to people to store sufficient water in advance. Water tankers will be available during this period if needed. Separate phone numbers for different centers have also been issued.

When and Why Will Water Supply Be Shut?

According to DJB, water supply will be affected from 11 AM on 25th February to 11 AM on 27th February, i.e., for a total of 48 hours.

“This disruption will occur because work will be carried out to disconnect and connect the new 1500 mm diameter twin pipeline from the existing 1500 mm diameter raw water pipeline of the Dwarka Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Bhagya Vihar.”
