Buyer’s perspective on the largest diamond
Diamond buyer Satyendra Jadia said:
“In this auction, I purchased the largest diamond of 32.80 carats. I am a resident of Panna itself. We will cut and polish this diamond in Panna and sell it. Panna is the land of priceless gems, and buying this diamond brings great joy. We, a group of 8-10 people, pooled resources to buy the diamond.”
Finder’s plans for the proceeds
The diamond finder, tool-wielding miner Swami Din Pal, explained:
“The diamond was found with great effort. For this, first a lease was obtained from the Diamond Office, then a mine was set up on my private farm. When the diamond was found, it was deposited at the Diamond Office. The diamond has been sold today, and I am very happy. The money received from the diamond will be used for family sustenance and children’s education. Also, I will buy some land because I have very little land.”
