JNA, the organizer of the JNA Awards, has announced that Mr. Shouzui Yasui, President of Yasui & Co., headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, will be honored with the prestigious ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ at the 2016 JNA Awards. The award will be presented at the annual JNA Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner on September 14, 2016, during the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair, at the InterContinental Hong Kong.

Significance of the Award

The JNA Awards are recognized as one of the most representative accolades in the international jewellery and gemstone industry, aiming to honor individuals and companies that have demonstrated outstanding leadership and continuous innovation, making profound contributions to the Asian jewellery sector.

“Mr. Shouzui Yasui is a most deserving recipient of the JNA ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’. In the jewellery industry, there are two famous ‘blue boxes’ – one is the blue gift box from a top jewellery brand, and the other is the blue-shelled vacuum wax injector produced by Yasui. Wherever there is jewellery manufacturing in the world, you can easily find vacuum wax injectors developed by Yasui. His influence on jewellery manufacturing is far-reaching.”
Technological Legacy

The name Yasui is inseparable from casting technology solutions for the jewellery industry. From the development of the vacuum wax injector in 1980, the start of exporting its casting machinery in 1991, the launch of the electronic rotary dewaxing furnace in the 1990s, the introduction of the digital vacuum wax injector in 2002, to the release of the third-generation wax carving machine ALTIMA in 2012.
