Are gemstones with healing powers only for esoteric fans? Not at all! More and more celebrities and beauty professionals are discovering the beauty-enhancing power of colorful stones. In addition to gemstone water, facial massage rollers made of rose quartz and other healing stones are currently booming. These rollers are said to provide a super glow or even roll away wrinkles. But are these gemstone rollers really effective as new beauty wonder tools? In the video, cosmetologist Vanessa Frei and dermatologist Dr. Yael Adler explain what they think of gemstones as beauty wonder weapons.
Thanks to health-conscious celebrities like Miranda Kerr and Gwyneth Paltrow, gemstones and crystals are no longer offered only in dusty esoteric shops but are now also found in cool hipster stores. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, facial rollers made of healing stones have been used since the 7th century. But what stones are there, and what (beauty) powers do they have?
Rose Quartz:
* The pink stone is said not only to enhance receptivity to love but also to soothe stressed skin and make it beautifully supple again after a long day.
Green Jade:
* In China, the light green stone is also known as the “Heaven Stone” and in ancient China, it could only be worn by emperors. The stone is said to have a particularly healing effect on the kidneys. When used as a beauty aid, the green jade roller calms the skin.
Black Jade:
* The stone is said to smooth the skin more than any other stone and is therefore used for mature skin.
Amethyst:
* The lilac stone is ideal for problem skin such as acne. It not only has a calming effect but also cleanses the skin. Headaches, migraines, and negative thoughts are also said to disappear with amethyst.
Rock Crystal:
* Clear as a mountain lake, so bright is rock crystal. Rock crystals are particularly beneficial for mature skin. Thanks to its energetic and powerful effect, it is said to give dull skin a glow.
Whether gemstone rollers truly have healing powers is not scientifically proven. However, anyone who massages their face daily with the roller promotes blood circulation and thus definitely creates a rosy complexion.
