Facial rollers are currently omnipresent. Celebrities and influencers swear by them, and many a beauty guru rolls away daily. But is the hype around this fancy tool really justified?
I am still rather skeptical about healing stones, but trying is better than studying. So I grab a jade roller and start rolling. The promise: The roller should have a cleansing effect and provide balance and harmony. That sounds promising, though a bit far-fetched for a stone, doesn’t it?
On my first use, I go all out, massaging in a serum with the roller and enjoying the relaxing feeling. Do I feel more harmonious than before? No idea. But my complexion really looks rosier, and I relax.
The next morning I wake up with puffy eyes – perfect conditions for the jade roller. I roll, roll, and roll, and the swelling under my eyes actually subsided a bit afterward. But I lost valuable time in the bathroom and got stressed. Anything but balanced.
I give it another chance and from now on apply tea tree oil against impurities with the roller. The result after a few days is great. Of course, the redness hasn’t completely disappeared, but it heals much faster. This realization definitely brings inner balance and more harmony!
This beauty tool has positively surprised me. Whether one believes in the magical power of a stone is, of course, up to each individual. But for me, it’s clear that the roller supports other beauty products, provides a pleasant cooling effect, and gives a good skin feel. And that’s already something.
