APM, three little letters that stand for Ariane Prette Monaco, the name of Kika Prette’s mother-in-law, who founded the company in 1982, and Monaco, where it was created. Today, the Monegasque house celebrates its 40th anniversary and continues to infuse jewelry with fun, color, and good vibes, thanks to Kika Prette, now the creative director of the house’s jewelry.
Through each of her collections, Kika succeeds in making jewelry sparkle with her customizable message bangles, childlike charms, and delicate creations adorned with precious diamonds. This audacity makes the brand shine both in France and internationally, such as at the Coachella festival in Palm Springs, where all the trendy girls had adopted the brand’s cute treasures.
To celebrate the house’s 40th anniversary, the creative director answered Vogue France’s questionnaire and opened her jewelry box to reveal which piece she would never part with, or the ultimate jewelry she dreams of acquiring.
What is your first jewelry memory?
My mother loves jewelry, and I remember as a child watching her in awe as she got ready and chose her jewelry to go out.
What is your most precious jewelry?
I love my bracelets and personalized pendant medals with my children’s initials.
Which APM Monaco jewelry best represents the brand’s spirit?
Meteorites, without a doubt. It’s APM’s iconic collection. I constantly revisit it with new pieces.

The one you never take off?
I change a lot of jewelry due to my work; I can’t wait to receive each new piece to discover it, touch it, wear it…
What jewelry do you like to give to your friends?
It depends on my friends, but probably a piece from our Fun Crazy Love collection, which can be personalized with messages. I love the very personal aspect of jewelry.
3 words to describe your style?
Probably APM’s pillars: fashion, smile, and chic. I like mixing styles. A sophisticated piece of jewelry with a casual outfit, or conversely, an elegant outfit with rock and fun jewelry.
What is your favorite precious metal?
Rhodium, it’s the most resistant metal with superb brilliance and shine.
Which stone suits you best?
Emerald, I love green, and gray spinel with its different shades.
