The entire collection of jeweler Schwab fell victim to a car break-in. Information leading to the recovery is requested.
The entire collection was stolen during a break-in into the car of Uwe Fiedler, owner of the jeweler Schwab in Winterbach. The stunned entrepreneur had left his car for only 20 minutes, as he told Blickpunkt Juwelier:

Fiedler now hopes that one or another piece will reappear and wants to warn colleagues. He also asks for appropriate attention:
If suspicious pieces appear, relevant information should be provided to the police.

The jewelry theft has caused “enormous, material damages.” The industry must therefore pay special attention. Because, not only car break-ins, but also and especially store break-ins cause high damages. As a recently published study by the EHI Retail Institute shows, these amount to billions. The amount of damage last year fell by only four percent, despite the Corona restrictions and the resulting lower frequency. According to HDE Managing Director Stefan Genth, however, a 15 percent decline had been predicted by the Police Crime Statistics (PKS).
