When the Japanese art of paper folding meets fashion accessories!
Driven by creativity, Sophie Jovandaric, a thirty-something from Lyon, decided to turn her passion for origami into a profession by opening her online shop last year.
In search of personal alignment, the Lyonnaise took a professional break during which she listened to herself and rediscovered herself, until she decided to take origami art to a scale beyond a simple pastime. She then launched Miss Origone, a shop for handmade origami jewelry.
The origami technique involves precise paper folding. It is a traditional Japanese art inspired by nature and representing the world around us.
The self-employed entrepreneur has the talent to bring the paper she manipulates to life, folding it into shapes like cranes, butterflies, or even leaves. To these light, colorful forms, she adds a ring, a bead, an earring hook, or a hoop, transforming origami into a unique, trendy, and timeless fashion accessory.
Convinced that human beings need to be connected to each other, share experiences, and trust one another, Sophie sees through the creation of jewelry the importance of connection, which creative craftsmanship perfectly conveys in her eyes.
Miss Origone embodies lightness both literally, through the thin paper origami figures, and figuratively, through the lightness of spirit, as Sophie describes, found in the brand’s jewelry.
The artisan creator places great importance on every step of her creations’ journey. From material selection to delivery, nothing is overlooked by Sophie. All her jewelry complies with current European Union standards, and the earrings and necklaces are guaranteed nickel-free and lead-free. At the time of delivery, the creator ensures proper packaging of her products, which must be as careful as her jewelry.
Shoppers can find original, colorful creations, imbued with poetry and delicacy, on the Miss Origone website!
