Not Only for Semiconductor Wafers

Trujillo Diamonds Will Also Be Sold in a Madrid Jewelry Store

The synthetic and sustainable diamonds that Diamond Foundry will produce at the facility it is building in Trujillo will also be sold for jewelry, not only used for creating diamond wafers for semiconductors.

Trujillo Diamond Factory: A ‘Green’ and Pioneering Industry Supplying All of Europe

The US firm acquired VRAI, a digital and sustainable jewelry startup, in 2017, “to become our direct distribution channel,” and is set to reopen in May the only jewelry store under this brand in Spain, located at the corner of Ortega y Gasset and Serrano. It will be a reopening because the establishment has been open for a while but is currently closed for renovations, according to the company. And in that Madrid store, “some of the sustainable diamonds from the Trujillo factory will be used for the jewelry,” they advance.

For now, it is the only jewelry store of the firm in Spain, although it has offices in several countries worldwide and also sells online.

Until now, they used sustainably grown diamonds from the United States for their jewelry, at Diamond Foundry’s original factory. “VRAI-created diamonds mean: no mining, no carbon emissions, only diamond,” they highlight.
