This piece traces Encarnación Estéve’s serendipitous journey from a life of travel to a thriving career in jewelry, inspired by cherished memories of her aunt’s shop in Murcia.
Encarnación Estéve from Valencia ended up in the Canary Islands by chance. She traveled back and forth because her husband was a pilot, and his final destination was the Canary Islands, so they settled there. After putting an end to a period of travel, Estéve reflected that it was her time to start a new project. At that moment, she fondly remembered the occasions when she visited her aunt in Murcia, who ran a jewelry store. That was her inspiration for what has become a long career in the jewelry sector. Estéve started as a wholesaler and when she established herself in the sector, she opened her own store on the main street of Calle Mayor de Triana.
