At this IJK, the company will exhibit a booth themed ‘Superhero of the Jewelry Industry.’ By reviving secondhand gemstones that were considered worthless and discarded, the company is helping to solve social issues such as forced labor, child labor, and environmental destruction in gemstone mining. Additionally, having created new value from previously discarded gemstones, the company will present many beautifully revived secondhand gemstones at this exhibition as a superhero of the jewelry industry. The company aims to welcome visitors from both Japan and abroad with a booth more unique than ever, using friendly and comical character settings to spark interest from children to adults, and even those outside the jewelry industry.
The company has set unique booth themes for each exhibition, participating not only in domestic events but also overseas exhibitions in Hong Kong and Bangkok with themes such as ‘Future of the Jewelry Industry’ and ‘Magic.’ At the International Jewelry Fair (IJT) held in January, the booth attracted a large crowd of domestic and international buyers from the first day, with many queuing before the opening. At this IJK, the company will set up a unique booth and continue to provide sustainable secondhand gemstones to the world.
The Kobe International Jewelry Fair (IJK) originated as an event to support the recovery from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. It is the largest exhibition in Western Japan, featuring a wide range of products including Kobe’s specialty pearls, from high-end jewelry and light jewelry to minerals, natural stone loose stones, and materials and parts needed for handmade items. It is an exhibition where visitors can ‘see, compare, and purchase at special prices.’
