**Editor’s Note:** This article traces the entrepreneurial journey of Kelly Angeline Cedeño, who turned a childhood passion for jewelry into a thriving personalized accessories brand. From early training at age 11 to establishing a presence in digital markets and trade fairs in Guayaquil, her story highlights how a simple interest can evolve into a growing venture.
What began as an early interest in jewelry turned into a growing entrepreneurial venture. Kelly Angeline Cedeño, 30, currently leads a personalized accessories brand that has established itself in digital spaces and trade fairs in Guayaquil.
Her first encounters with the craft date back to childhood, when at age 11 she participated in training courses where she developed basic skills in making pieces. Over time, that initial learning transformed into a constant activity that allowed her to explore techniques and build her own proposal.
The brand, specializing in personalized jewelry with laser engraving, has found a niche among clients seeking pieces with emotional value. The proposal focuses on designing accessories that function as memories or personal symbols, beyond their aesthetic function.
Although her professional training is linked to civil engineering, Cedeño chose to focus her efforts on entrepreneurship after facing difficulties entering the job market. This change coincided with a new personal stage.
According to her, the support of her close circle was key to making the decision to develop her business.
In that process, technical training was decisive. Handling materials such as epoxy resin and experimenting with different formats allowed her to consolidate a more defined product line. However, the business’s growth also implied a strategic rethink.
Starting in 2023, her participation in business training programs marked a turning point.
She added that these spaces allow for strengthening knowledge and improving ideas in the process.
As a result, the venture evolved not only visually but also in its commercial focus. Improvements in packaging, an active presence on social media, and participation in fairs have helped expand its reach and attract new audiences.
Currently, the brand does not have a permanent physical store but has achieved visibility through temporary commercial spaces and entrepreneurship events, where it interacts directly with potential clients.
The case reflects a growing trend among young entrepreneurs seeking job alternatives through their own projects, combining creative skills with management and marketing tools.
Looking ahead, the entrepreneur’s goal is to consolidate her business with her own sales point and continue expanding her offerings, in an environment where differentiation and constant adaptation are key to sustaining growth.
