Can you imagine having beers and pintxos with friends while simultaneously trying on rings, necklaces, and clothing in an exclusive setting? A great combo, right? Well, this is now possible thanks to Acorazada, Spain’s first Jewelry Bar, which just opened its doors in Madrid on May 20th.
Where? In the heart of the Salamanca district — as could not be otherwise — one of the most exclusive and elegant areas of the capital. Specifically, it is ‘hidden’ inside the Hotel Wipton by Petit Palace, at number 17 Calle de Jorge Juan.
This new project, which breaks the mold of traditional jewelry stores, functions as the first physical store for Catalan designer Elena Estaun: on one side, it has display cases showcasing her pieces, and on the other, a menu of drinks and food designed for the occasion.
Upon entering this unprecedented establishment, you can find her works organically integrated with the decor: on the walls, on the tables, in cabinets, everywhere!
While comfortably enjoying a glass of wine, as if in a restaurant, you can admire her high-end costume jewelry, displayed on the very table where your glass rests. There you will see snake-shaped rings, gold bracelets, earrings that look like horns… pure original, artisanal design.
All of this, as mentioned, is accompanied by a selection of food designed for snacking and sharing. From a steak tartar with brioche bread, cured egg yolk, and piparra pepper, to crispy layered potatoes with brava sauce, cockles, artichokes with gold salt and roasted avocado cream, yogurt-marinated grilled chicken with Naan bread, marinated salmon with crispy rice, shiso leaf, and spicy mayonnaise, or tempura shrimp with salmon roe and kimchi mayonnaise.
As for drinks, their big bet is on signature cocktails, such as the Jade Daiquiri, Mint Mojito, Ruby Paloma, Coco Santo, or Pear Collins; in addition to non-alcoholic options like the Virgin Mojito, Applemint, or Fresh & Free.
Acorazada opens every day with uninterrupted hours from 12:00 to 23:00, but lunch and dinner are served from 13:00 to 16:00 and 20:00 to 23:00, respectively.
