**Editor’s Note:** Heritage Auctions debuts its combined jewelry and timepieces sale in Hong Kong, signaling a strategic luxury push in Asia. The June 15 auction features standout lots, including a Repossi platinum ring with a 3.11 ct. untreated Colombian emerald.
Heritage Auctions is combining jewelry and watches in a Hong Kong auction for the first time, as part of the house’s luxury push in Asian markets. Its Fine Jewelry & Timepieces Signature Auction takes place next Monday, June 15, with a public preview on Sunday.
Leading the jewelry lots, with a $90,000 reserve, is a Repossi platinum ring (pictured at top) centered on a 3.11 ct. untreated Colombian emerald, surrounded by 2.7 cts. full-cut and pear-shape diamonds. The octagonal emerald shows no clarity enhancement — its untreated status is a distinction worth emphasizing in a category where treatment is routine.

Heritage is offering an even larger untreated Colombian emerald — 4.72 cts. — in a platinum ring with two baguette diamonds flanking the vivid green center stone.
Another jewelry standout is a necklace with 14.33 cts. padparadscha sapphires, each of the 10 stones framed by diamonds. With an orangey-pink color produced by a combination of chromium and iron that occurs in only a handful of deposits worldwide, padparadscha is among the rarest sapphire varieties.
