The Indian Maison’s latest high jewelry creations feature emeralds, rubies, and diamonds.

The luxury brand Nigaam was launched in 2012. Its jewelry, of course, features a profusion of precious stones, often cut in the traditional Indian style. The high-end pieces reflect the ancient tradition of Indian jewelry, as well as Byzantine icons, Islamic carpets, and even Chinese craftsmanship. Its jewelry is now available in about sixty stores across the East, especially in China, and the United States.

Nigaam’s history traces back to the 1970s and 1980s, when the Nigam family began their journey in Jaipur’s famous Johri Bazaar district, starting a small artisanal business specializing in cutting precious stones. Thanks to their expertise in handling colored gems and the development of cutting-edge processing techniques, the business grew rapidly. Initially, it established itself as a major wholesale supplier of loose stones to luxury brands and designers worldwide. However, as their reputation in the international market solidified, their intimate connection with raw materials spurred the family to make a qualitative leap.

From simple gem cutters and suppliers, they began collaborating as a design and production laboratory for established international brands. This experience allowed them to combine a deep engineering knowledge of mineral cutting with a high-fashion aesthetic vision. Today, under the leadership of Prateek Nigam, the Nigaam brand signs its own collections, characterized by a fusion of the opulent influence of the East and the contemporary design of the West.
