Shinsegae Department Store announced on the 21st that it has opened a ‘Jewelry Specialty Hall’ on the 1st floor of its Gangnam branch.

The Jewelry Specialty Hall, which opened on the 19th, has doubled the existing store area and filled 10 of the total 17 brands with new ones.

Recently, the jewelry category in department stores has shown high sales growth. In the first quarter of this year, Shinsegae Department Store’s luxury jewelry sales increased by 55.6% compared to the same period last year.

In response to this jewelry demand, Shinsegae Department Store transformed the jewelry section on the 1st floor of its Gangnam branch into a specialty hall format.

New Brands and Offerings

The hall features Tasaki, known for pearls and diamonds; Pomellato, which sells colored gemstone jewelry; Messika, characterized by modern designs; and the custom wedding band brand Akredo. It also adds unique brands such as Qeelin and Spinelli Kilcollin.

Domestic designer brands like Nunu and Fret are also presented.

Promotional Event

To commemorate the opening of the Jewelry Specialty Hall, from the 26th to July 5th, customers who purchase watch and jewelry products with a Shinsegae affiliate card will receive up to 7% points based on the purchase amount.

“As the criteria for jewelry purchases diversify into brand, design, and materials, the importance of professional curation is growing,” said a Shinsegae Department Store official. “We will offer a differentiated jewelry shopping experience tailored to customers’ tastes and purchase purposes.”
