Shinsegae Department Store has reopened its renovated jewelry hall at the Gangnam branch, doubling its size and adding 10 new brands to strengthen its premium jewelry offerings.
Shinsegae Department Store has launched a newly renovated jewelry hall at its Gangnam branch, aiming to strengthen its premium jewelry competitiveness. The company announced on the 21st that the jewelry hall on the first floor of the Gangnam branch reopened on the 19th after renovation. The existing store in front of Gate 3 was expanded to approximately double its previous size, and among a total of 17 brands, 10 are new additions.
Newly入驻 brands include Khiro, Messika, Artus Bertrand, Lioré, Pomellato, Akredo, Spinelli Kilcollin, Nuni, Banjoae, and Fritt.
The recent growth of the jewelry market is cited as a background for the expansion. Shinsegae Department Store’s luxury jewelry sales in the first quarter of this year increased by 55.6% compared to the same period last year. The company explains that demand for jewelry worn daily, not just for gifts or anniversaries, is rising, leading to expanded consumption considering brand, design, and materials.
In response, the newly renovated hall brings together international luxury brands and wedding jewelry brands in one space, broadening customer choices. Customized services allowing customers to select design and materials directly have also been introduced to provide a differentiated shopping experience.
At the store, visitors can find Tasaki, a pearl and diamond jewelry brand; Pomellato, a colored gemstone jewelry brand; Messika, a diamond jewelry brand; and Akredo, a customized wedding band brand. International brands with unique designs like Khiro and Spinelli Kilcollin, along with domestic designer brands such as Nuni and Fritt, offer a wide range of products from wedding to daily jewelry.
A promotion has been prepared to celebrate the opening. From the 26th to the 5th of next month, customers purchasing watch or jewelry items with Shinsegae partner cards (Citi, Samsung, Shinhan, Hana, BC Baro) will receive up to 7% Shinsegae Reward benefits based on the purchase amount. A 30,000 won discount coupon usable at participating brands will also be provided.
