【India】Tata Group-Backed Jewelry Company Reports 41% Consumer Business Growth in Q1 FY27; Retail Network Expands to 3,680 Outlets

On Tuesday, Indian benchmark indices traded higher in early trade. According to the latest available trade, the Nifty 50 gained 34.35 points or 0.14% to reach 24,464.70. Amid positive market sentiment, shares of Titan Company rose 2.90% to Rs 4,614.50 after the company released its Q1 FY27 business update. The stock also touched a new all-time high and 52-week high of Rs 4,655.90 during the session.

Consumer Businesses Record 41% Growth

Titan’s consumer businesses recorded 41% year-on-year growth in Q1 FY27. During the quarter, the company added 77 stores, bringing its combined retail network to 3,680 outlets across domestic and international markets. The reported figures exclude bullion and digi-gold sales, while the international business includes Damas Jewellery, which was consolidated from January 2026.

Jewelry Continues to Drive Growth

The domestic business grew 37%, including 76 net store additions, bringing the domestic store count to 3,517. The jewelry segment recorded 39% growth, supported by healthy festive demand and strong Akshaya Tritiya sales.
Within this segment, Tanishq, Mia, Zoya, and Byon grew 39%, while CaratLane recorded 42% growth. The company said buyer growth remained in early double digits, with a sharp increase in average ticket size, and both plain and studded jewelry categories grew in the mid-thirties, while gold coins remained strong in investment-led demand.

Watches, Eyecare, and International Business

The watches division grew 23%, led by premium analog watches, although the smartwatch business declined in the low teens. Eyecare also grew 23%, supported by broad-based demand and premiumization initiatives, while emerging businesses recorded 19% growth, led by fragrances and women’s bags.
Titan’s international business recorded 128% growth, aided by the consolidation of Damas Jewellery. Excluding Damas, the company said its jewelry brands recorded encouraging double-digit growth in the GCC region and North America, while the core Damas business continued to improve during the quarter despite geopolitical challenges.
