Paris Couture Week once again proved that high jewelry continues to evolve beyond exceptional gemstones alone. This season, the newest collections embrace transformation, movement, and individuality, pairing centuries-old craftsmanship with fresh perspectives on design. Whether inspired by nature, bold chromatic compositions, architectural minimalism, or sculptural volumes, each high jewelry collection presents its own vision of modern luxury. From De Beers London’s diamond-forward creations and Piaget’s celebration of color to Pomellato’s unmistakable Milanese spirit and Repossi’s refined graphic silhouettes, these remarkable launches demonstrate that today is as much about personality and innovation as it is about rarity.

This season, De Beers London breathes new life into two of its signature collections—Lotus and Talisman—through new high jewelry creations that revel in the house’s mastery of diamonds and contemporary craftsmanship. Energized by the lotus flower found in Botswana’s Okavango Delta, the Lotus collection introduces a transformable necklace, bracelet, earrings, and ring. Four pear-shaped diamonds surround a brilliant-cut center stone in each floral motif, while openwork settings and articulated links create graceful movement. The necklace also features a detachable two-carat pear-shaped diamond pendant for versatile wear. Alongside Lotus, De Beers unveils four additions to its Talisman collection, continuing its pioneering combination of rough and polished diamonds. An architectural cuff, cocktail ring, medallion, and earrings highlight the maison‘s distinctive poinçon goldsmithing technique, which secures diamonds directly into textured gold. Piaget closes the curtain on its Extraleganza high jewelry trilogy with Colours of Extraleganza, a vivacious collection of 65 creations inspired by the creative energy of the 1960s and ’70s. Rejoicing in the maison‘s ever-evolving affinity for color, the collection layers precious gemstones, ornamental stones, diamonds, and lush gold into bold chromatic compositions that reflect Piaget’s distinctive aesthetic. A standout is the Blue Illusions necklace, pairing a Madagascan sapphire, a vivid Paraíba tourmaline, and a one-of-a-kind black opal within an hypnotic geometric design. Piaget also revisits its legendary sautoir watches with convertible timepieces, while introducing engraved gold cuffs, hidden-dial necklaces, and gemstone-rich designs influenced by the Memphis movement. Pomellato’s refreshing high jewelry collection, Stile Libero, explores freedom through 65 one-of-a-kind creations that unite bold color, sculptural goldwork, and exceptional Milanese craftsmanship. Organized into three chapters—Visionary Colors, Magnetic Gold, and Hypnotic Shadows—the collection showcases wondrous gemstones set using the maison‘s signature serti libre technique, creating fluid, asymmetrical compositions that feel both contemporary and very Pomellato. Paraíba tourmalines, multicolored sapphires, mandarin garnets, spinels, and brown diamonds dance throughout statement necklaces, rings, earrings, and reimagined chain designs. Pomellato lingers in this celebration of color beyond jewelry through its summer collaboration with The Peninsula Paris. On the Kléber Terrace, Executive Pastry Chef Anne Coruble has created three exclusive gelato flavors motivated by Pomellato’s iconic Nudo collection, while a dedicated pop-up boutique introduces guests to the maison’s delightful creations. The dazzling partnership imparts Pomellato’s distinctive vision of craftsmanship, design, and Italian style through jewelry and hospitality. Further, Pomellato’s creative vision is unveiled at the Palais de Tokyo, where the exhibition “Pomellato: Le joaillier révolutionnaire,” on view through July 20, offers the first Paris exhibition devoted to the Milanese maison.
