Safe Word is a series highlighting the latest trends in the jewelry market, keeping you up to date on all things that sparkle and shine.
From historic high jewelry maisons to emerging independent designers, this month’s jewelry news proves there’s no single direction shaping the industry. To begin, Mikimoto and Chrome Hearts team up on another limited-edition line blending the hallmarks of both brands.
Then, Pandora launches “Pandora Wonders” in collaboration with Harry Lambert; Boucheron celebrates individuality with its 2026 Carte Blanche high jewelry collection, “Human Being”; Marie Mas focuses on transformable design with “Caustic Light”; De Beers London unveils four new “Talisman” high jewelry designs; and Sophie Billie Brahe enters the high jewelry world with “Tangerine Sky.”
For the rest of the month, we’ve got you covered on all jewelry-related happenings worth knowing about.
Pandora is completely reimagining its signature charm bracelet with the launch of Pandora Wonders, a multiyear creative platform that celebrates craftsmanship, playful design, and artistic collaboration. Beginning with a limited-edition collection co-created by celebrity stylist Harry Lambert, the charms feature one-of-a-kind freshwater pearls inspired by everything from mushrooms and squid to rockets and ice cream cones. Each pearl is individually selected for its naturally sculptural form, hand set with 14K gold-plated tails, and transformed into a unique, imaginative charm. Known for his whimsical approach to fashion, Lambert brings the collection’s playful spirit to life through a surreal campaign and immersive pop-up in Montauk, New York. The collection marks an exciting new chapter for Pandora, positioning jewelry as both wearable storytelling and a collectible work of art.
For its 2026 “Carte Blanche” high jewelry collection, Boucheron turns its focus to what it considers the most precious treasure of all: the human being. Conceived by creative director Claire Choisne, the collection transforms the classic cluster necklace into five distinct jewelry sets—Rain, Flower, Light, Tattoo, and Checkers. Each set pairs a necklace with a matching ring, showcasing a different artisanal savoir-faire, from hand-painted rose quartz and glyptic engraving to laser-etched onyx and meticulously hand-set diamonds. The result is a collection that celebrates both our similarities and differences, with subtle shifts in gemstones, volume, and light giving each creation its own unique identity. Requiring over 14,000 hours of craftsmanship, the collection reflects Choisne’s belief that in an increasingly artificial world, humanity remains the greatest luxury.

Paris-based fine jewelry brand Marie Mas unveiled its latest collection, Caustic Light, during haute couture in Paris. Inspired by optical phenomena created when light passes through water, founder and creator Marie Cabriou translates shimmering ripples and reflections into a collection centered around movement, play, and transformation. Each piece features hidden mechanisms that allow it to evolve and be worn in multiple ways—from earrings that turn into brooches to hoops that transform into bracelets and rings. Designed to interact with one another, the modular pieces can be endlessly recomposed into new forms, creating a collection that feels fluid, playful, and personal to the wearer.
Introduced in 2005 as the first high jewelry collection to combine rough and polished diamonds, Talisman returns with a sculptural cuff, cocktail ring, medallion, and pair of earrings that reinterpret the House’s signature aesthetic through bold proportions. Each piece is finished with the signature poinçon technique, sculpting textured 18-karat gold around natural rough and polished diamonds without the use of prongs. The collection pays homage to Southern Africa, celebrating the natural beauty of diamonds while showcasing the refined craftsmanship of the De Beers London atelier. Together, the four new designs reaffirm Talisman as a collection that honors nature’s raw beauty through the lens of contemporary high jewelry craftsmanship.
Sophie Bille Brahe unveils her first high jewelry collection, “Tangerine Sky,” launching exclusively with Harrods. Created in dialogue with the works of Cy Twombly, the collection marks a personal milestone, bringing to life the designer’s vision of high jewelry that is meant to be lived in, worn every day, and passed down through generations.
After a visit to Cy Twombly’s exhibition at Gagosian’s Madison Avenue gallery, Bille Brahe was captivated by the weightlessness of his paintings and was inspired to translate that same feeling into jewelry. Crafted in polished 18K white gold and set with stunning diamonds, the eight-piece collection was designed to feel fluid and gentle while balancing sculptural silhouettes with everyday ease. From cloud-like sculptural rings to asymmetrical diamond necklaces and striking drop earrings, “Tangerine Sky” reimagines high jewelry as something intimate, effortless, and a part of everyday life.
